  3. Hi Heidi !! Many thanks for hosting the challenge this week. Really good theme you've chosen, everyone should have something for this. Love all the colours of your lilacs, geraniums and magnolias :-))

  4. We have a real winters day here today ............ it rained all night, which is unusual for this time of year, but that brought the temps down way low. Sitting here freezing, early May , and dreaming of Spring Day , 1st September to hurry up and come.

I love your Lilac Bush, in Denmark they are called Syren and just looking at your picture, I can remember what they smell like, my mother always had a whole hedge of it, she said, she pruned it in autumn and it has started budding already. Evidently you get Spring earlier than she does, as you are further south. A market is always nice, something to look at and buy while strolling around enjoying the first warm days of Spring. Geraniums, I love them, they are so easy to grow and it is great fun to collect varieties and swop with friends.

Wowsers for your bonus Magnolias or Tulip trees, whatever we call them, I have a red one, but of course not blooming now.

I don't know if I should post old Spring photos or give you some Autumn ones for this one. Maybe might not enter this week, will have a look see and decide later, while I enjoy all your lovely spring photos and am jealous. Suppose it is your turn and I should not be envious, but I so hate the cold.

  6. Gruetzi Heidi und danke für die wunderbare Thema. So to continue in a language where I do not make so many mistakes, I love your photos. Yes Spring has at last sprung in our countries. The lilac is beautiful and the colours of the geraniums are very illuminating. I just love magnolias, a shame that they do not last so long, all the better for capturing their flowers in blossom.

  7. Fantastic pictures of a great theme! Love the lilacs, one of my favorite flowers. I long to wander about in your market; it looks like soap is one of the items for sale. The magnolia are wonderful, we have them here and they are simply stunning.

  8. Wonderful theme, Heidi. The lilacs are blooming here, too. It's the first shot that I picked out for this theme, but decided to use the ones with people since everyone is showing flowers. And what says Spring better than flowers? Nothing! lol. Absolutely gorgeous color in your lilac shot!

I love lavender sachet. I'm guessing that's what is in the bags in the second photo. Did you buy one? or do you make your own?

Geraniums are such a bright, vivid colored flower. I love to see window boxes full of them. We had a geranium festival every year near my hometown and you could buy a geranium for like 1.50 back then.

The Magnolia blossoms are very pretty. We called them Tulip trees down south, also but here in NY they are Magnolias.

  11. Beautiful theme, Heidi! Love your four photos. Ah lilacs, they remind my childhood in Oporto where lilacs are commonly seen.Unfortunately, not here in Lisbon. Love the colour of geraniums. Nice photo of the French market... Did you buy Marseille cake of soap? Tulip trees are really beautiful and they abound in my neighbourhood. My favorite? The lilacs...
