Picture This #238 ~ BIG!!

Hi everyone, this is Mitch, and I'll be your host this week. It's been quite a week!! The UK has experienced a couple of the biggest storms in many years this week. On Wednesday winds of up to 108mph were recorded. Thankfully no flooding or damage where I live (unlike many parts of the UK), but I did lose my internet connection for 24 hours. Over in the US, some of the biggest ice-storms and blizzards for many years are piling on the misery there too. Anyway, that got me thinking.....in a week of many BIGS....why not have 'BIG' as the theme!!

'BIG' is such an open theme, there can be sooooooo many different interpretations. Have fun and show me many different types of big. You can post up to 4 photos for this theme.

1) Big cat....with big teeth!!
Bengal Tiger 1

2) Big buildings in New York City
Highrise

3) Big smile.....and belly!!
Stretch

4) Big plane waiting to take me home
My Ride Home 3

  4. Love that tiger, but my moggies say he is just showing off. Nothing like NY for big, love the refelctions caught in the windows. Budda whatever is really doing it big, good shot. I remember see our big plane waiting for us at Kennedy airport, very impressive.

    1. I was quite lucky to get that face-on shot of the tiger. He kept that position just long enough for me to grab the shot before he decided he was too tired, lay down and went to sleep.

  5. Great shots and a great theme. Glad your place was spared the worst of the weather - this has been quite the year. Love your shots, especially the big buildings with the sky and clouds reflected. Also totally love that jet - an angle I don't often get to see. Scary tiger.

    1. Thanks Benni :-)) I just had to get that shot of the plane. It was part of my unexpected adventure at the end of my 2010 vacation. You may remember when the Icelandic volcano erupted and affected all trans-Atlantic flights. I had an extra week in the US because of it. Then when I finally got a flight, instead of it being direct to the UK, had to go via Germany!!

    1. Thanks Nik :-)) It doesn't have to be just one. You can post as many as four this week, if you have that many suitable for the theme.
