PICTURE THIS #239 ~ FOUR SEASONS

FOUR SEASONS

a difficult topic as South African  weather don't change that much during seasons,
at least not here on the Highveld though.
We have summer rains and winter drought,
but most of our trees are evergreen.
So I went a bit out the box with this one, please do bear with me:

All taken last year 2013

AUTUMN POTATOES - MARCH
4 Seasons - Autumn Potatoes

WINTER BIRD FEEDER - JULY
4 Seasons - Winter bird feeder

TENDER SPRING SHOOTS - SEPTEMBER
4 Seasons - Spring tender new shoots

SUMMER STAGS ESTABLISHING TERRITORY - DECEMBER
4 Seasons - Summer the bucks sparring

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK EVERYONE - HAPPY MONDAY

MUCH LOVE

MARIANNE

  3. Good idea with the potatoes. Lovely birds in the feeder (we don't feed them in Summer). Love the apring shoots and the deer - interesting aspects of a South African year.

  4. Hi Marianne!!! I had to check twice to make sure it WAS you......I'm not used to seeing you post so early in the week!!! LOL. Great photos, although I only looked at the seasons, but not the months, as it just confused me!! Nice shot of the pots,........wouldn't mind some of those with my chicken for dinner tonight!! Lovely shot of the lil tweeters on the feeder. Love those 'tender Spring shoots' .....something I'm hoping to be seeing here in the next couple of weeks. Great shot of the stags saying "let's get ready to rumble!!!!" LOL.

  5. Hi, Marianne, sorry I am late getting to you. I love how you have chosen to capture the seasons - very creative. Those potatoes look delicious and very much like potatoes we have here. Your little birds are so sweet and I am glad you feed them through the winter. Lovely spring shoots and wow, those stags! That is a great picture; I can hear them challenging each other. You've gotten the action perfectly. Great stuff!

  6. Marianne, I like your creativity in your choice for Autumn. You are the only contributor that lives in the Southern Hemisphere. Nice capture of the Winter birds at the feeder. My favorite is the last image of the stags establishing their territory.

  7. Marianne, four excellent photos that clearly show how you could, despite living in a two-season year 's country, post beautifully for the theme.... Love your four seasons but December is my favourite....
