  2. HI Anders. I really like your three entries for Marianne's theme. Beautiful replica sailing vessel in the first shot, a LOT of work must have gone into that!! Great shot of the Draken, an iconic aircraft. I had a model of one when I was a child. Ahhh, the classic Amazon!! All wonderful shots.

  6. Volvo yes, Mr. Swiss worked for them many years and was often in Göteborg. Love the colours of the ship and the aircraft looks very good. Hope it is as good as the Grippon that Switzerlad have just bought from Sweden.

  7. Thank, Pat. Indeed it was the first delta-winged fighter and set the standard for all to follow. Gripen has been notoriously hard to sell.

  9. I must find out more about the Gothenburg III - such a tragic demise! But a beautiful ship. I am also interested in the Volvo Amazon, a very stylish car, very nicely photographed by you.

  13. Great favorites, Anders. You are so interested in museums and arts, that I expected something like this from you. The Gothenborg I have never personally seen as it was completed after I left Denmark, but I remember hearing about it being built. It is a beautiful ship and reminds me of some of the Dutch Ships that braved the seas and landed in Cape Town with the Settlers. Wonderful replica and it works too. Would love a trip on it, would probably get seasick though. I used to get seasick on the ferry from Nyborg to Korsor, so now you know lol, never mind the ferry from Copenhagen to Malmo, which we often used to go shopping in Sweden, where coffee and other goods were cheaper. For sure the bridges are faster and safer, but some of the magic has gone.

I remember your fighting plane from another entry, you wrote about it, was it Picture Perfect, not sure, but interesting as well.

That car looks similar to a car my father had when I was about 10. My uncle still insist on only Volvo, he simply has never owned any other car. At 84 and now with only 1 leg, he has diabetes, his new Volvo got specially fitted and I would presume it is automatic.

Thank you for joining in. Your entries always makes me homesicka and provoke a bit of nostalgia.
