Picture This #203 ~ Fantasy Factory

I am hoping that my entries fit the theme. I was considering what photos could I enter. These are some of the strange photos that I've shot in the past. They are novelties and I hope everyone enjoys them.
The first photo is from Salem, MA. We were visiting the town in the month of October. Salem is known for its famous witch trials that took place in 1692. The town celebrates Halloween festively. The owner was decorating her home . I took this photo with her permission.
This next photo is from Magic Gardens in Philadelphia. This reminded me of the Mexican celebration El Dia del Muerte. That is celebrated on All Soul's Day. The artist put this figure in a niche. There is some hidden symbolism in it. It's definitely fantasy.
Here is something that appeals to a sweet tooth. We were in New York City a few weeks ago and went inside the M&M store. There are some figurines such as this one in the store.

  1. I like the first one very much. I have read about the witch trials and it must be an interesting place for a visit. No. 2 is also very interesting, a good shot. I think Mr. M is world famous - very good.

  3. HI Robert. Three good photos for Debby's theme. I've read books about the Salem Witch-hunts, would like to see the place for myself someday. I really like that figurine of Mr. M :-))

    1. Those were the dark days of colonial New England. If you like crowds then you must go in October. I like Mr. M. There were several of them in their assorted colors. Thank you.

  4. Great shots for the theme, the first two a bit ghostly, have read about Salem, must have been a frightening time indeed.

  5. ohhh, scary skeleton witch..he/she almost looks as if she's playing guitar on her broom.

The second one is my favorite. Wish I knew the symbolism behind the work. I'll have to Google it later.

I love the M&M guy. He's so cool. Wish I had known you were NY. We could have met for lunch!

    1. Hi Debby. The artist's name is Isaiah Zagar. It would be nice to meet some of our members. We went to see a Broadway show and ate dinner in Little Italy. I'll remember this the next trip into the city.

  7. I just love the scary house decoration. The skeleton with a bucket of blood from Philadelphia is fantasy-tastic!! Do you know what the hidden symbolism is? And I like the cute M&M from New York. Thanks for your great shots.
