Photo Of The Week: BELITA
Cant see the first one.Marvellous door in the second one and magnificent facade in the third.
Europe seems to have far more respect for older buildings and decorations than we do in the US. And thank you for the gorgeous shot of Florence's cathedral, another place I was lucky enough to visit and just stand and stare at.
Heidi, these are all fabulous examples of creativity. I love the idea of decorating the face of the buildings. That first one is just gorgeous. Wish I knew what the writing said!Boy, I'd love to paint something on that scale!I love the trompe l'oeil of the second. Another art technique that I'd love to learn. The cathedral is magnificent!
3 great photos. Yes we love to paint our houses in Europe, a very good example. the town hall in Basel is a very good example of fantasy (and sometimes our Swiss governments show a lot of Fantasy as well). I visited Florence many years ago and remember the duomo very well. A very striking building in wonderful pastel colours. I was lucky enough to see the original doors, before they were swept away by a flood and replaced.
Hi Heidi !! Three great choices for the theme. The third one is classical Italian architecture, but it's the first two I really like. I love the wonderful painted decorations on both buildings.
Sorry I could not get around before I had visitors all day yesterday.£ wonderful styles of Architecture all prefect for the theme Heidi;)
Three beautiful takes on the theme!

Very nice shots, and the artwork to boot.
