IN BASEL THEIR CITY HALL IS KNOW FAR AND WIDE FOR ITS FANTASY DECORATION
THIS IS THE FRONT OF THE MAIN CATHEDRAL IN FLORENCE, ITALY SEE HOW WONDERFULLY DECORATED IT IS.

Europe seems to have far more respect for older buildings and decorations than we do in the US. And thank you for the gorgeous shot of Florence's cathedral, another place I was lucky enough to visit and just stand and stare at.

I love the trompe l'oeil of the second. Another art technique that I'd love to learn.
The cathedral is magnificent!
3 great photos. Yes we love to paint our houses in Europe, a very good example. the town hall in Basel is a very good example of fantasy (and sometimes our Swiss governments show a lot of Fantasy as well). I visited Florence many years ago and remember the duomo very well. A very striking building in wonderful pastel colours. I was lucky enough to see the original doors, before they were swept away by a flood and replaced.
ReplyDeleteHi Heidi !! Three great choices for the theme. The third one is classical Italian architecture, but it's the first two I really like. I love the wonderful painted decorations on both buildings.
