Picture This #204 ~ I Wonder......

Many thanks to Belita for stepping in at the last minute to host this week's challenge. She has chosen a great theme, with many possibilities!!

I decided to go with some 'wonderings' from a recent trip to Folly Zoo, here in Wales:

1) On this hot summer day, I wonder if this Penguin was dreaming of cool antarctic ice?

2) I wonder if this Tamarin will share his fruit with me?

3) I wonder if this camel is doing an impression of Bob Geldof??

  1. Indeed it may just long for that far off icecap from which its ancestors hailed.

"Yep, I might just do that." it says.

    "I dont like monsoons."

  2. If I had seen these three fellows I would also wonder... Excellent shots, Mitch! The Tamarin is my favourite... love his eyes and his facial expression. Most probably he wouldn't share that fruit with you. It seems he was enjoying every bit of it...

    1. That's a shame, because he had lots of it. On the table he was standing on, there was a big pile of fruit :-))

  3. I think the camel was preparing for a sort of "spit" moment, so I hope you took cover. On the other hand there is a likeness perhaps to Mick Jagger. The monkey eating his fruit reminds me of earlier days with the kids and the penguin is probably just meditating. Three great zoo photos.

    1. The camel was actually about 30 metres away, it was taken with my zoom, so he would have had to have been a very powerful spitter to have reached me!! Anyway, he was actually chewing something at the time. I can see the Mick Jagger resemblance with the lip, but I thought the hair-style was more Bob Geldof :-))

  4. What a fantastic picture of the penguin! I have never seen them up close. That tamarin will not share his fruit with you; but maybe he will if you show him the picture you took. As for the camel, I think he is wondering about the wall. And yes, LOL, I agree with Pat, they do spit and he looks like he is getting ready to.

    1. It was a really warm day, so the penguins were sunbathing, making it easier to photograph them. The tamarin wouldn't share his pile of fruit with the other tamarins, he chased them off!!! LOL.

  7. Pretty penquin! I've never seen one with that pinkish tint before. Very nice close-up shot.

lol, that little fellow looks like he's angry at the world. Doesn't look as if he plans on sharing....ever!

You're right about the last one! What a sexy smile/sneer!

    1. Thanks Debby :-)) You're right about the tamarin, he wouldn't share his fruit with the others in his enclosure, kept chasing them away, but fortunately there was another table with fruit on nearby.
