Photo Of The Week: BELITA
Lovely girls in blue. Les Madmoiselles Belle BleuJust the place for a time to oneself and a good book.Marvellous fountain.
You're Welcome, Belita
Beautiful takes on the theme as always Belita I particularly Like the vibrant colours in the candid portraits
The colours were very beautiful under the afternoon light and I think the young ladies were proud of their wears... Thanks, Baz!
Three great bright blue shots! The top one could be in a magazine. I would love to be lying under that umbrella! The bottom is my favorite, such a lively happy shot!
You know, Danette, I like candid photos and Bratislava is a haven for candid photography. I took the second shot when I returned back to the hotel on a very hot day. Lucky are those Bratislavians who have gardens, even they are small in area. There are many fountains in the city but that one, located in a square just in front of the official residence of the President of the Slovak Reublic, is really impressive. Thank you, Danette!
The first is a great shot, really good. I like the second photo, but the third is really impressive. Must ask my son, he spent a week in Bratislava some time ago.
Thanks, Pat! I hope your son had a good stay and perhaps he saw that fountain, though it's located not in the old city...
Absolutely wonderful, you know when I saw this theme I was thinking of a picture of blue dresses and there you have posted a vibrant and lovely one. The secret garden is a very inviting shot, a perfect place for a summer nap. I can't stop looking at your bottom photo. It is fascinating. I may google it to find more information. The rainbow just adds to the loveliness.
Thanks, Benni, for your kind comments! It's an impressive fountain at any time of the day...
Hi Belita!! Three stunning shots for the theme!! Beautiful shot of the fashionable ladies dressed in blue. Lovely shot of the blue & white parasol in the private garden. My fave is the third shot. The fountain itself is fantastic, but I love how you caught a rainbow in the waters!! Wonderful!!
Thanks, Mitch, for your kind words! I took the fountain shot late in the afternoon on a beautiful blue-sky day and coincidently the light formed a rainbow in it...
Belita, all three are wonderfully done. The first image is a great candid photo. You always do well with photographing people wherever you travel. The private garden seems so inviting with the reclined lounge chair. You captured a rainbow in the fountain. What a beautiful fountain!
Pleased to read your comments, Robert! Thank you!
Gorgeous candid shot of the girls in blue, pretty, pity about her cigarette ,,,,,,,,,, "sorry, ex smoker, so very aware how unladylike it looks LOL"I could just lie in the garden with a book and snooze a summer day away. We are so cold here at the moment, they predict snow this coming weekend. Remember my snow trip last year this time? That fountain is amazing, how awesome and different. Thank you for sharing your travels with us. Hugs.
