  2. Love the windmill, something you do not see so much today in that form. A lonely saddle is a good aspect and I do not know the english name for that thing either, but I would tip on a landing place for an extra terrestial flying saucer.

  3. Hi Belita!! Three excellent shots for the theme, I see you decided to go for non-animal related shots. Love that windmill in the first shot!! Where was it taken? That type of windmill is common in the US, but not so much in other places. Great photo of the saddle-horse in the second shot. Not sure of the correct name for the third shot, but it looks like a place where ships are tied up? Nice reflections in the water, too :-))

    1. You see that windmill, like a few others, in Lisbon suburban area and scattered throughout Portugal, too. They creak in the breeze but they are no longer used.

  6. I love windmills and that is a great picture of one. We have many where I live (midwest US) but many no longer function; they are there for their beauty. That bottom picture is just splendid!! I don't know the word for it either.

  7. Great interpretations!!!
Love the scene in the first shot ... and find the last one most intriguing! What is it used for?

    1. Lynne, I bet it's used, as Mitch mentioned, for tying boats up. I saw it in a river.
