Picture This #211 ~ Summertime Blue

Summer Blue,

kind of fit in with my vacation this past week. I am a little late getting it posted, because I just got home. Hey I still have one day left.

I spent the time at Rockaway beach in Oregon. The weather was very nice and cool. Back at home it was pretty smoky from the forest fires so it made for a nice change. Plus it was in the 90s, and on the coast it was in the 60s. Very nice indeed.

Here is two shots off the beach.

This one even has a castle's last standing moments.

Hi Randall !! Good to see you posting again. Better late than never!! Looks like a great place for a vacation!! Wonderful deep blues in the first shot. I really like how the light is catching the sand-castle in the second shot. Those blueberries look good, I could just eat some right now.

Hi Randall, that looks like a wonderful holiday to me, blue sea, blue skies, sunshine and please oh please give me some blackberries for my cheesecake. Yummy! They look huge ?? The ones we get here in the supermarket at exorbitant price is very small. Lovely to see you back taking part.

Lovely photos of the beach - a lovely place for a holiday. the blueberries were a super idea, really sets the atmosphere.

Rules For Weekly Challenges

The rules are similar to when Picture This was on Multiply, with a few differences. As always, please post a maximum of three photos each. The Picture This page on Blogger is optimised for image size 640 x 480, so please try to post images NO LARGER than this to avoid distorting the page or overlapping onto the right-rail. Blogger has a storage limit for photos uploaded directly to the site, so please use copy/paste of HTML from storage sites such as Flickr or Photobucket as much as you can. Unlike Multiply, Blogger does not allow posting of images in comment boxes, so anyone taking part should put their photos, along with any accompanying text, in a separate post here on the PT main page, making sure the challenge number and theme are in the title line. Please note that the posts will appear in reverse order. After the host has posted the challenge, all contribution posts will appear above it on the main page, so you will have to scroll down the main page to find the host's post.

Challenge Albums & Flickr

Unlike Multiply, Blogger does not have facility for photo albums, so Picture This now has it's own associated Flickr account, where albums will be uploaded to . Once on Flickr, they will then be cross-posted to Blogger (all of this part is done by the admins, just like the albums were on Multiply). Each challenge album will appear on it's own tabbed page, along with a Flickr slideshow of the album. The cross-post only shows the first 24 images as thumbnails, to see the whole album, either watch the slideshow, or click on the little blue link between the thumbnails and the slideshow. Only the most recent three challenge albums will show on tabbed pages, to see earlier albums, you will need to go to the Picture This Flickr page. CLICK HERE TO GO TO FLICKR PAGE. Our Flickr account has tight copyright controls, so your photos are as safe as on your own Flickr page.
