We see them all the time, day in day out. Great shots everyone. Love it Mitch.
Here are a few from my lens. This first is the sunset with the bird about to dive into the bush for the night. Figure he just wanted to watch the sunset with me.
The next is a hawk checking out the landscape.
Still waiting for the next shot, if it comes at sundown. Well I will see in a little bit. Now off to check the other shots that have been posted.

PICTURE THIS 2012 #197 - SILHOUETTES
Thank you once again to Baz for hosting while Mitch is away on a much deserved holdiay with his beloved darling Joanne.
Cannot believe how time runs, he must be on the way home already, surely they will both share (some) of their incredible adventures.
Baz has chosen one of my favourite themes and also a favourite subject to shoot. Silhouettes and shadows always intrigue me. I am busy packing for a mini break, so have been shopping and zooming all over town. It is cold but not that cold, so t's or longs or oh gosh, can see the car will be packed to the hilt. Going for a girlie road trip, with my bestest friendly, Les. She so needs a break after loosing her beloved and my little stressed out brain, came up with an idea.
See you all next week, and maybe I will have some pics and a story to share? We hope.
Silhouettes of birds waiting patiently in the tree for their seeds early morning:
Silhouette of palm and tree in the front garden waiting for a huge storm just at sunset:
Silhouette of a fisherman at sunset, at Heritage Dam:
Bonus shot by darling son, me playing the fool on holiday at sunrise, flying the broom, I am the witch going to Bloksbjerg. Sorry could not resist, even if it pokes fun at me. *smile*
So sorry if you have seen some of them before, with my time constraints simply have not had time to shoot new ones.
Have a fantastic week. See you next Saturday.
Much Love
Marianne

Thanks for hosting Baz with the theme. Generally my silhouette photos are those that did not turn out as I wanted them to, but will dive into my archives and see what I can find.
I took this one evening on the stairs of the appartment house where I live. I found the effect was interesting.
And here is one of my crow pictures. They gather every evening Winter and Summer, but it is not always easy to have the camera ready at the right time.
This is a close up of the privet in the garden. I only just noticed that it has a couple of interesting shadows.

PICTURE THIS #196 ~ FOR SALE
Thank you to darling Belita, for hosting this week with such a fun and interesting theme.
for once I have been able to pop around and visit the other contributions, they are all great.
My first FOR SALE is from the new supermarket that has opened up the road, I like the way they chose to display their vegetables:-
My second is looking through the window into the Teddy Bear shop, I was too scared to go inside, as I knew for a fact, I would buy something. I am a sucker for soft toys:-
My third is from a street seller, my best new friends, displaying their paintings, all are for sale, you can also get them off the frame, so you can post them in a postal tube, rolled up:-

Picture This #196 ~ For Sale
Great idea Belita and thanks for hosting. Living in a market town, it is sometimes the only subject worth a photo.
If you feel tired you can even buy a chair
Or a carpet
It is really difficult for me to choose, our market day in Summer is always so colourful.

PICTURE THIS #196: FOR SALE
Hello, Belita here, to host this week’s challenge. Maybe some of you hate to go shopping and do it online. However, I presume you often see a variety of goods for sale, either you walk in your neighbourhood or in a different district: a super cute window dressing, a real estate property, foodstuffs, clothing, home interior goods, etc., something that for some reason caught your eyes to the point that you picked up your camera and took a photo of it. So, this week's theme is FOR SALE. Enjoy!
Thanks!
Thanks!
