Picture This #217 ~ Many Or Few

Many thanks first of all to Belita for hosting this week at rather short notice!! A really good theme she has chosen, there is a LOT of scope for interpretation here.

I'm going to be away for the next week. I'm visiting my folks for a couple of days, then moving on to visit Baz for a few days. We're hoping the weather will be good enough to get some good photography done, so I may not be around to comment on your entries til I'm back. I couldn't resist putting up an entry before I go, though.

My three photos would all class as 'many', I think. All were taken a couple of weeks ago at the National Botanical Gardens of Wales.

1) Many happy yellow flowers!!
Multitude

2) Many elements of the 'Great Glasshouse'
Great Glasshouse 3

3) Many filaments of this alien-looking plant.
Multiplicity 1

  2. I have those flowers in my garden in the first picture, but naturally not so many and in such an abundance. Great capture. The roof is an interesting structure, another rewarding photo. The third is Mitch pure, super detail (hope you could get up again after taking the photo - LOL)

    1. Thanks Pat :-)) Getting up from taking macro shots seems to get harder the older I get. My knees aren't as good as they used to be!!! LOL.

  3. Your request, Mitch, was welcomed, though I've not had enough time to think of a theme.
Love those pretty smiling 'faces'. They are many but I can see few different ones (weeds, I think). Beautiful ceiling architecture. I like the simplicity and the multiplicity of its structural material. Great capture of the enumerable filaments. The ceiling is my favourite. However, it was not easy to select one out of the three awesome shots.

  5. I love your flowers and the way you have caught a bit of clover in them. What a fabulous Glass House, that is something I would like to photograph. You've got some great angles there. The macro shot is just amazing, it does indeed look alien. Wonderful shots and have a great time on holiday.

  10. Those flowers DO look happy, Mitch! It makes you feel cheerful just looking at them, too!

Love the design of the glass house and the blue sky, clouds and rays of sunlight peeking through.

What a beautiful macro of the plant. It looks very exotic. Do you know what it is?

    1. Thanks Debby :-)) I always think that fields of certain types of flowers look like happy, smiling faces. I don't know the name of the plant in the last shot. Although I'm getting better at identifying and naming the flowers and plants I shoot, there's still a lot I haven't yet identified.
