Congratulations to Danette for her photo chosen for Photo of the Week. I like the play of light and shadow on the shell.
I also want to thank Belita for creating this theme Many or Few. It presents many interpretations.
Here are mine.
These next two images were taken at the Arizona Desert Museum in Tucson, Arizona. When I thought about images that could suit this theme, the image of the saguaro cacti in the desert came to mind. From where I stood, they just seemed to fade into the distance.
The next image is a photo of one of the animals that live in this dry region. Let me introduce you to the Lone Wolf. I didn't see any other wolves with this one. Can I categorize this as one of the few?
Now we shift back to another climate and it's close to home.

Thanks, Robert, for your three contributions. I'm glad to read you like the theme. Excellent choice of the cacti shot. They are so many! Love the perspective and the far away sandy area makes the cacti look beautiful. The second shot is very well done and it speaks to me...the light, the fox's eyes, all in this shot is perfect. Daffodils are very pretty flowers, specially the yellow ones. I presume the center stage of the Festival was a wide variety of daffodil colours but your many 'yellows' shot is an excellent contribution for the theme. I love them all, however, the fox is my favourite... Thank you, Robert!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Belita for your comments on these images. I did have a few photos that showed many but this desert scene was unusual. This photo blog does make me research through my folders. I'm pleased that you liked the light on the wolf. The festival does have a variety of daffodils but these were the ones I photographed. I actually did this eye level.
DeleteWhat wonderful and unique pictures, Robert. The cactus are very nicely photographed and do indeed seem to stretch into the distance. I love the wolf, he is a majestic animal and I like the light on his fur. My favorite are the daffodils, golden beauties.
ReplyDeleteThank you Benni. The cacti seem to stretch in the distance. There was enough of shade to photograph the wolf. Had there been all sun, the wolf would have been overexposed. The daffodils that year were abundant. We love to go there every spring.

I really like the first one, takes me back to my vacation earlier this year in Arizona. I love the shot of the wolf. A beautiful creature, and so misunderstood. Lovely colourful field of daffs to finish with!!
